Customer Evaluations
I bought this as a replacement for a Yiboo mini Euro Tiger Airsquire, which broke one particular of the connecting arms among the primary rotor and stabilizing bar. These new rotors have a slightly distinctive stabilizer - it has even more of a wing profile than the original kind. I wasn't positive if they would function but for $4 what is there to lose?
As soon as fitted, the helicopter flies a lot a greater than it ever did just before! It is considerably extra stable and doesn't veer off into the wall when attempting to take off (which is what broke my original rotor). Some reviewers here mentioned that their models would not fly any way more considering that of the weight of the new rotors, but the Yiboo is OK.
No directions came with the new rotors so here's what worked for me (For the Yiboo anyway). Acquiring the old rotor off is not simple! If the old rotor will not just pull off:
Cut across the plastic shaft of the old rotor just beneath the stabilizer bar, and above the tell tale hole with wire cutters or comparable. You can now take away the stabilzer and principal rotor. Do not cut any lower as you'll cut via the metal drive shaft. This leaves the plastic shaft which is element of the rotor around an inner metal shaft which conencts to the drive motor. You should be cautious not to bend or damage the metal shaft.
Cut along the length of the remaining plastic shaft with a craft knife. It takes numerous cuts to get through. I made two cuts 180 degrees apart. Be cautious not to cut yourself! You can now peel the two halves of the remains of the plastic shaft away from the metal inner shaft. I couldn't get all the way to the finish of the plastic as it was inside the physique of the helicopter. Cutting as far down as I could, and peeling away released the plastic element from the metal shaft and I was in a position to pull the remains of plastic away from the metal inner shaft. This technique totally destroys the old rotor of course, but I am assuming you're replacing it mainly because it is already damaged.
The new rotor just pushed onto the shaft pretty conveniently. I employed washing up liquid to ease it on and the pressure of my finger and thumb was sufficient. You know it is on far adequate when you can see the metal inner shaft by means of the tell tale hole.
I can't guarantee that this strategy will work for all brands of Electric Helicopter, but it may well deliver some tips and hints. Fantastic luck and happy flying.
This is the right part if you have a PicooZ/Air Hog Havoc 2-ch heli.
Make positive that the rotor fits snugly, given that a loose fit will not present adequate lift to get your heli up and operating even although the rotors seem to spin . You also have to adjust trim and make positive that the tail rotor is clean of wrapped hair or fuzz, and perfectly perpendicular to the most important rotor- these are necessary for appropriate functioning of the heli, and generally have to be checked/adjusted after every crash.
This replacement is definitely sturdier than the original rotor, as nicely as the single spare that came with the original heli.
This item has restored my little heli to full function and made me a pleased tiny child once again, substantially to my wife's chagrin.
