The good:
I got this in the mail today and I have to say it looks better in individual the white and gold appear very sleek (5 stars for it's looks). I read some fine testimonials about this helicopter via the internet and decided it would be a good upgrade from my two channel propel mini rc heli which performs well and has gone two years and hundreds upon hundreds of crashes with out breaking when. But adequate about my old heli, the 107g is a awesome mini helicopter it is 3.five channel manage allows the pilot to manage lift, left and suitable turning, and forward / reverse which is awesome! five stars for getting an very affordable 3.five channel heli. The excellent of this heli is terrific, the manufacturer really spared no expense in using wonderful components on this outstanding little heli(five stars for quality). I've crashed it a few occasions and it does not show a single scratch, I give durability 4 stars considering that I've barely owned it
The Bad:
In all honesty, this heli performs exactly as it will need to. My only complaint is that the heli isn't fairly rapidly out of the box. Thinking of it really is an indoor helicopter, slower speeds are undoubtedly a very good function for those who have not mastered the controls. This can't extremely be regarded as a huge complaint contemplating how conveniently it can be modified to allow quicker speeds for much more advanced flyers (next section).
Mods:
1.) Soon after reading about obtaining aftermarket rotor blades, spinning the rotor upside down, etc and so on, I decided to just take away a few pieces of the helicopter. I removed the two bars and the piece connecting them to the tail bar, along with the tail fin (not to be confused with the rotor). This does a few items: 1) lowers weight of the helicopter two) increases power (due to weight loss) 3) increases battery life (due to weight loss) four) tends to make the heli substantially faster and a lot more responsive. Please note that the heli will be much faster than just before, but it will be slightly much less stable due to the lowered weight and elevated speeds. Take it uncomplicated the first handful of times around the living space, it will take some receiving use to.
two.) If your a speed freak and want the fastest s107g out there then you can also eliminate the landing bars. I do not suggest this for a small inside area as it can make it troublesome to navigate around furniture and tight spaces. I would recommend this for people who fly in substantial indoor places or outside as the speed increase can be enjoyable. If that is not fast enough for you, then you can try the rotor flipping mod and replace the stock rotor with some fancy aftermarket 1. If that isn't quickly adequate then, fantastic for you, you have a home the size of a football field. :p
Breif Assessment:
The 107g is a great mini rc helicopter, looks good, flies outstanding, has great stability. It is a small slow out of the box, but that can very easily be fixed (see mods section above). Overall I rate this tiny heli a five/5. It has everything I want in an indoor heli and I could not be happier for this low price tag. If you like flying the two channel indoor heli's then this is a great upgrade!
