Customer Reviews

I have a compact squadron of mini helicopters and this one is by far the very best so far. I read amazing evaluations of the Syma S107. I was fairly pleased with it compared to some of the older Syma models. Then I saw the positive testimonials for this and thought I would give it a go. It flies extremely well! Quiter than the other seven helicopters I have and so stable, smooth, and responsive. It is a tiny slow with forward and reverse momentum, but not poor. Slow is less complicated to manage...perhaps that was intentional. We fly these every day in the workplace and this hands down outperforms everthing else.
For those comparing models, right here you go:
Syma S109 Apache- Great
Syma S105G (Sport Helicopter) Quite Great -Fastest, stable, but somewhat loud, durable metal frame
Syma S107G- (Sport Helicopter) Very decent- almost identical to S105 but a small slower, different scheme, older?
Syma S026 Chinook- Looks cool, flies ok, but tough to control. Also considerably power for its weight 'Cieling magnet'
Syma S013 Black Hawk- Horrible! Pretty light, spins uncontrollably, fragile
Syma S013 Apache- See S013 Black Hawk critique. (friend purchased this a single to join the entertaining: nothing but regrets)
Heard the S108G Cobra is decent as well but haven't tried it. My deployment to Iraq is nearly over, so I probably won't be shopping for any alot more toys.

What a distinction a gyro tends to make! Extraordinary...I tried a single of the 1st gen micro R/C copters (no gyro on those) not long after they came out, and identified them to be highly troublesome to manage and not a lot entertaining simply because of it.
This generation with the gyro is just remarkable even though...SO stable, SO simple and easy - but not boring. There is nevertheless a learning curve for total R/C noobies that will make this a outstanding first R/C copter, but I look at it pretty much like a challenge...attempting to master this tiny beast is Entertaining!
This also actually looks like a actual helicopter, compared to the ones I bought previously, which looked like....properly like R/C copters - absolutely unrealistic.
The LED lights are great so you can fly at night (my youngsters Appreciate that - the dog...not so much), and the point even appears to behave like a true helicopter, with ground impact and having to minimize speed (thrust?) to tilt forward (I am no pilot or physicist, but I do know that the earlier models I tried did not give me any kind of sense of "this thing FEELS like I am flying a genuine helicopter!")
Gonna quit now for the reason that I sound like I function for the firm (not even certain who the firm is basically, but whoever it is, they sorely want an English native to write the English element of the instruction manual!)
Cannot advise this enough. Uncomplicated easy 5 stars.
FYI if you are interested in modding your Syma (specifically, the inexpensive, hassle-free and great tail rotor mod that tends to make it more rapidly and more agile), you need to purchase the model that looks like the R/C copter (107G I think). Found this out the hard way, but I nonetheless prefer this one particular for the looks. Video of the mod results: [...]
