Customer Critiques

I bought this toy for my 10 year old daughter, and we loved it the initially few days. Studying to fly it was challenging, but we eventually got the hang of it soon after a couple of bumps into walls and hard landings. My daughter picked it up considerably faster than I did and was soon flying it on her personal with out my assist and enjoyed it very a bit. Then again, on day 3, soon after a single flight that veered slightly into a wall, 1 of the rotors on my helicopter stopped working. I tried to troubleshoot it myself with no good results.
I emailed Cobra Toys customer support explaining the challenge and how we had been flying it and got a timely response telling me to check to make sure all of my gears lined up. They did, and everything seemed to mesh together, but the motor just did not seem to activate. I explained this to my customer service rep. She said she required a copy of my receipt and a picture of the item to approach the warranty. I supplied all of this only to be told a couple of days later that the warranty did not cover crashes.
So, for my $60 we got about 3 days of high quality flying time. I like the product, but if regular flying causes breakage this rapidly, I can't say that the item is worth it.

Helicopter was excellent fun although it lasted... Would charge it up and fly around for about ten minutes... Then let cool and charge it up once again. I utilized the USB charger. Following 2 weeks, went to turn it on... lights blink so battery is OK... but helicopter will not WAKE UP! New batteries in the manage box too... So, I will be calling Cobra Toys for warranty... Will let you know how they respond...
